Setting Up
Grind 30g similar to coarse sea salt.
Add coffee. Place on scale and tare.
Boil 500ml (about 20oz) of filtered water.
*to double recipe, grind slightly coarser.
Brewing
Start timer. Pour 500g of water.
At 4:00, use a spoon to "break the crust” that has formed on top.
Use two spoons to scoop and discard lingering “foam”.
Allow coffee to steep for 5 more minutes.
Push plunger until filter screen is just below surface of the coffee liquid.
Pour into mug.
Tip: refrain from tilting French Press more than 90 degrees. This will prevent you from having excess coffee grounds in your final cup.
